Jorhat Men’s Future Tennis begins

GUWAHATI, Feb 20:  Jorhat Men’s Future tennis got under way at Jorhat today. The meet was iugurated by R P Mee, Inspector General of Police (Eastern Range).

In his welcome address, Raktim Saikia, President of the Jorhat Tennis Club and All Assam Tennis Association, stressed the need to hold such important intertiol events to develop Assam as an attractive sports and tourist destition to the world community besides playing a significant role to develop players of repute from this region. As many as five players from the North Eastern Region, four from Assam and one from Aruchal Pradesh, got the opportunity to play in the tourment.

Rishab Agarwal (IND) & Niki Kaliyanda (IND) bt. Pramveer Singh Bajwa (IND) and Alexis Canter (GBR) 6-4, 6-4. Vijayant Malik (IND) and Sidharth Rawat (IND) bt. And Kul (IND) and  Anvit Bendre (IND) 6-3, 1-6, 10-8.
