Jorhat-Titabor road construction work launched

JORHAT, March 4: Assam Assembly Speaker Hitendra th Goswami threatened people and organizations who are involved in collection of dotion at a gathering at Bongal-pukhuri Tiniali on Saturday evening when the Speaker and local MLA laid the foundation stone of the reconstruction work of Jorhat -Titabor road.  Goswami said, “I will not tolerate anyone involved in collection of dotion.” He added, “If any contractor pays dotion then the quality of works will be poor.” Assembly Speaker Hitendra th Goswami along with Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, chairperson of Jorhat Municipality  Board, Aru Dutta laid the foundation stone of the construction works of Jorhat-Titabor road , which is estimated at around Rs 26.50 crore.  The meeting was presided over by senior citizen Bhaba Chetia and anchored by Bhaben Prasad Dolley, executive engineer of PWD roads, Jorhat division.
