Joseph scores hat-trick; big win for Green Valley in RG Baruah League

GUWAHATI: Joseph Mayowa Olaieye scored the first hat-trick in the 2018 edition of the RG Baruah GSA Super Division soccer league and helped his side Green Valley to register a huge victory over Sunrise club at the Nehru stadium here today. Green Valley won the tie by a 4-1 margin.

Satwinder Singh put ahead Green Valley in 22 minutes and the side was leading by a solitary goal in the first half. Later Joseph added another three (62, 77, 90+) to complete his hat-trick which also made the game a one-sided affair. Sunrise returned one goal through Sanatamba Sarma (80).

It was the first victory for Green Valley and they had collected four points from the same number of matches. Sunrise also earned four points from four games.
