Joymoti Smriti Divas observed

GAURISAGAR, March 31: Along with the rest of the State, Joymoti Smriti Divas was observed at the premises of Phulpanichiga Anchalik Rass Utsav Kala Krishti Kendra under the aegis of Phulpanichiga Anchalik Bahumukhi Mahila Samiti recently. The day-long programme started with hoisting of flag by Dipali Borgohain, president of the Mahila Samiti followed by smriti tarpan done by Dalimi Baruah, Assistant Teacher, Dhaniram Gogoi MV School. Later an open session was held. Tuluma Konwer Chetia, Headmistress, No 80 jirpukhuri LP School chaired it. Bikash Baruah, Subject Teacher, Deoraja People’s HS School and social worker Lakhimi Baruah took part in the meeting as distinguished guests and delivered their speech about the relevance of the day and sacrifice of Joymoti. In the evening Jerengar Sati play was performed by the local artistes. Earlier before the meeting drawing and recitation competition was held among school students.
