JP dda, Sonowal to grace golden jubilee of SMCH

Silchar, Jan 19: Silchar Medical College and Hospital has come a long way and completed 50 years of its services to the patients of all classes. The golden jubilee celebration committee has made elaborate arrangements to make the 6 day long celebration beginning from January 22 memorable and eventful. Necessary preparations to host the great event have been made in the college playground ‘Oval field’.

 Sarbanda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam, will grace the occasion as chief guest. J P dda, Union Minister of Health and Family Planning as well as Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Minister of Health and Family Planning, Government of Assam, will grace the occasion as guests of honour. Dr A K Sipani, secretary general, golden jubilee celebration committee, said Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister of PWD, Excise and Fishery, and chairman of governing body of SMCH will preside over the function. After the iugural function slated at 10 in the morning, Union Minister of Health and Family Planning J P dda, Sarbanda Sonowal and Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present at 2 pm. This will be the programme on the iuguration day of the golden jubilee celebration.
