Juvenile accused of robbery

TANGLA, May 3: A juvenile accused of theft was beaten by irate public at the premises of SBI Tangla Branch on Tuesday afternoon. Reportedly, an employee of RGVN (NE) Micro Fince Ltd, Gokul Kumar Das went to SBI Tangla to deposit an amount of Rs 2.89 lakh at about 3.15 pm. The juvenile allegedly tried to stch the bag from the employee. The juvenile was manhandled and beaten up by irate public and handed over to police custody. The juvenile is a resident of Pagla station village under Bangaon PS of Bongaigaon. An FIR in this regard has also been lodged at Tangla police station.
