Juventus set to sign Brazilian defender Rogerio

Rio De Janeiro, Jan 28: Italian giants Juventus are set to sign teege Brazilian defender Rogerio, media reports said.

The 18-year-old left-back was due to fly to Italy on Thursday where he will undergo a medical and commit to a long-term deal, Globoesporte reported on Wednesday.

Rogerio is said to have impressed Juventus with his performances during last year’s under-17 World Cup in Chile, where Brazil were elimited by Nigeria in the quarterfils, Xinhua news agency reported.

Despite his form on the intertiol stage, Rogerio has been uble to break into the first team of Brazilian Serie A outfit Interciol. Juventus may immediately loan out the starlet to their Italian Serie A rivals Sassuolo. IANS
