KAAC CEM holds discussion with Bada Ramdev

HAMREN, Feb 11: The Chief Executive Member of KAAC with his colleagues reached Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Friday, and held discussion with yoga guru Baba Ramdev seeking investment for the proposed herbal medicil industry in Karbi Anglong and cultivation of herbs and organic plants under public-private partnership with an aim of around Rs 5,000 crore turnover, along with Patanjali maging director Acharya Balkrish and other senior officials of the herbal medicil plant. The agreement with Patanjali is expected to include establishment of Ayurvedic College, boys’ and girls’ hostel and yoga school in Karbi Anglong. The CEM, Tuliram Ronghang, also mentioned that the BJP government for the first time had allocated Rs. 50 crore for Karbi Anglong district and had increased 20 per cent fund for establishing a science college and a 200-bedded hospital in West Karbi Anglong. Ronghang expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and State Fince Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for sanctioning Rs. 50 crore for infrastructural development and for enhancing of 20 per cent of KAAC budget.
