KAAC CEM reviews progress of development projects

HAMREN, Nov 30: The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council chief executive member Tuliram Ronghang visited ongoing construction sites in various places under Diphu LA. He was accompanied by Horensing Bey, chairman of KAAC, along with engineer Miji Kro of Flood Control Department, Nipu Dutta, engineer of Town and Country Planning and Birsing Engti, deputy secretary of KAAC.

 Ronghang first visited the site of the multipurpose new market building at Horilal Basti, Diphu which is being constructed under Town and Country Planning department. He directed the contractor to complete construction work at the earliest. He then reviewed the progress of the project for beautification and improvement of Diphu river embankment .He also inspected the road improvement works for early completion.

The CEM also reviewed the ongoing boundary wall fencing work at Matipung DCRF. The team also went to the poultry farm, Diphu and checked the availability of chickens and eggs, and availability of piglets and pig sty.

 For the development of the piggery and poultry farm of Diphu, the KAAC will sanction an amount of Rs 10 crore for the construction of auditorium hall and training centre and different infrastructure development of the farm’s premises, said CEM while visiting the farm.
