KAAC poll: Political parties have no election manifesto!

Donkamokam, June 4: In the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) election, a total of 5,97,628 voters will cast their votes in total 813 polling stations in the district on June 17. Before every election, almost all political parties declare their election manifesto and agenda before the voters and without it the candidates or the leaders never go to the field either for canvassing or to woo the voters. In the forthcoming KAAC poll, tiol parties and regiol parties have announced their candidates in each of the 26 MAC constituencies under KAAC along with a good number of Independent candidates. But no manifesto has been published by any of the political parties. This has raised the eyebrows of the conscious citizens of the district. The voters are curious enough to know from the political parties on which agenda or issue they are contesting the election and also the reason of not entertaining the manifesto.
