Kaliabor College to hold workshop on ICT

KALIABOR, Nov 24: A meeting of the faculty members under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. HK Chaliha, Kaliabor College was held on Wednesday at semir hall for organizing a workshop on Information and Communication Technology, briefly ICT, under the banner of IQAC and Star College Scheme of the college.

Among a host of teachers present in the meeting was IQAC coorditor Dr. NC Das and senior faculty members Prof. Kuladhar Bora, Prof. Mofizul Haque and others. The proposed workshop, as a part of faculty development programme, will be held From December 26 to December 28. Prof. Khanin Pathak of IIT, Kharagpur will conduct the whole workshop with the help of technical support of a person of the same institute on motivatiol and execution level.

The objective of the workshop will be to train up the teachers to conduct the whole process of an examition with the help of ICT. The students will appear in examition online. At the implementation level, work is supposed to begin from even semesters of undergraduate and postgraduate course in the beginning of next year.  Academic Registrar of Gauhati University, Guru Prasad Khataniar will be present to iugurate the programme. Though the programme is being organized for the faculty members of Kaliabor College, interested Principals and teachers of different colleges of Assam will also be invited in due course of time to take part in the programme.
