Kamal Kumari tiol Awards announced

Jorhat, Feb 5: The Kamal Kumari Foundation and Baruah and Associates Company have announced the Kamal Kumari tiol Awards 2012 at Jorhat on Thursday. General Mager of Baruah and Associates Company Gautam Bhattacharya said, Professor Dhiraj Bora, eminent Indian scientist and the Director of the Institute for Plasma Research has been selected for the Award in the Science and Technology category.  In Art and Culture (Dance) one of the pioneers in dance field late Pushpa Bhuyan has been selected. In Art and Culture (painting and sculpture) category the award will be presented to Aisharjya P Konwar. In iourlism, the award will be given to Assamese fortnightly Prantik,. The awards will be given away by eminent filmmaker Jahnu Baruah at Tockolai Research Centre auditorium on February 9. Kamal Kumari memorial lecture will be delivered by Jahnu Baruah on the topic ‘Promotion of Art and Culture and its importance in building India Healthy.
