Kamrup district administration suspends arms license

Rangia, March 31: In view of the ensuing legislative assembly election, Kamrup district administration had earlier issued an order to the private arms license holders to deposit their arms at their respective Police Stations. But due to the non-deposit of the arms by Sarat Ch. Das, Niyamoni Moral, Achyut Ch. Das, Golak Ch. Deori, and Umesh Ch. Kalita under Sualkuchi Police Station, Kamrup district administration has suspended their arms license with immediate effect and directed the Superintendent of Police, Kamrup to seize the arms and keep these in safe custody.
