Kamrup (M) Excise Department Conducting Liquor Investigation

GUWAHATI: A sting operation was performed by the Kamrup (M) Excise Department at Sukleshwar Ghat on Wednesday. A mini truck with 450 litre of hooch was seized and 4 people were apprehended in this connection. A joint operation of the department, along with Excise Intelligence Bureau performed operations in Mithaam, Adingiri and Segunbari near Maligaon, where 10 illegal liquor concocting dens were destroyed, along with 100 litre of liquor. The teams also conducted operations in Bamunimaidam and Gopal Nagar, and destroyed various alcohol selling workshops.
