Kapil Das awards given away

GUWAHATI, April 20: Senior journalists Rupam Baruah and senior photojournalist Rajib Bhattacharjee (The Sentinel) received the Journalist Kapil Das Memorial Awards on the occasion of the ninth Kapil Das death anniversary observed at Guwahati Press Club here on Friday. Late Kapil Das, who started his career as a photojournalist during the Assam Agitation in 1979, was loved by all. The award-giving function was attended, among others, by senior journalists Padma Pator, Munin Bayon, Pronoy Bordoloi and Naba Thakuria.
