katani High school's golden jubilee closing function gets underway

GAURISAGAR, Dec 26: The three-day closing function of katani High school Golden Jubilee begins from Friday at freedom fighter Robin Kakoty kshetra, Konwerpur on the outskirt of Gaurisagar.

Bhim Kanta Knower, retired vice principal of Surujmal Hanuman Box Kanoi College iugurated Robin Kakoty Kshetra on Friday morning.

Khagen Baruah, president of Reception Committee hoisted the main flag.

54 other flags were hoisted by 54 distinguish persolities   on the eve of 54 years completion of school’s existence.

Bhudhar Rajkhowa, president, School Maging and Development Committee planted saplings.

Later Jugadhar Bhuyan memorial main entrance gate of school was opened by hendra Padun, former Secretary of Axom Xahitya Xabha.

Dr Jyoti Prasad Saikia, Professor, Dibrugarh University iugurated Phanidhar Bhuyan and Makhani Bhuyan library building.

The book fair cum exhibition was iugurated by Bhupendra th Hazarika, Professor and head, department of Botany, Majuli College.

In the evening session Projuktir Prithibit Abumuki, a science based programme, was held with renowned inventor Dr Uddhav Bharali.

In the function Dr. Bharlai highlighted his inventions like coconut cutter, coconut broom, cleaning device for hand less person, cement brick, rice transplanter, paddy thresher etc.

In his speech he urged upon the student to observe crucially the essential equipments of day today life.
