RANGIA, May 6: In order to popularize the Central Government schemes, the  Kamrup district administration, as part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, organized Kaushal Vikas Mela at the community hall of NF Railway in the Rangia Railway  RMS colony area on Saturday. The programme was attended by Kamrup district PD of DRDA, Juri Doley, CEO Balen Kalita, BDO Dhanjit Dutta, Shipra Das as the representative of MP Ramen Deka, and other government officials of the district. Juri Doley Doley and CEO Kalita spoke on the need of welfare schemes for overall development of the rural masses.

 Earlier, Mahila Kalyan Samaj from Mangaldai staged a one-act play focussing on the theme of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. Coinciding with the occasion, Kamrup district administration awarded three best SHGs, namely Kalyani SHGs of Hajo, Pragatishil SHGs of Bihdia Jajikona and Son Pahi SHG of Rangia  for good performance. Similarly, under the aegis of Jana Sikshan Santha, Kamrup, as a part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, the Ajeevika Divas was observed at the Raijmel Swahid Krishak Bhavan premises on Saturday afternoon.
