Kaziranga College to observe World Rhino Day

BOKAKHAT, September 21: Kaziranga College, in collaboration with the  NGO Kaziranga Foundation, will observe  the World Rhino Day with day-long programmes at Kaziranga College on Tuesday.

 On the occasion, an awareness journey with students of various institutions and local people will be iugurated in the morning by popular artiste Pranjal Saikia. A semir on the ‘Importance of Rhino Preservation, its usefulness and possible benefits for the people’ will be held under the president ship of Principal Hem Ch.Borah. Dr Jogen Ch. Kalita, Professor Life Science of Gauhati University and Prof Krish Sharma, Department of Micro-Biology of Assam Agricultural University, Guwahati will attend as resource persons.

bab Al Azhar Ali, SDO Civil and Chandra Sharma, Mager of Hatikhuli Tea-Estate will be present as guests of honour. In the morning, the college flag will be unfurled and a photo exhibition on wildlife will be iugurated by Jiten Gogoi, former MLA and president of the college.
