Kaziranga tiol Park to re-open on October 2

KAZIRANGA, Sept 18: Kaziranga tiol Park (KNP) will reopen for tourists from October 2 after its routine closure for the monsoon season. The World Heritage Site, home to the one-horned rhinoceros, will be opened for tourists from October 2, said KNP DFO, Rohini Ballab Saikia. The last wave of floods in September had damaged several bridges and roads inside the park and repairing is going on for the convenience of guests. The park will re-open just two out of four ranges, Kohora and Bagori for visitors for the moment. The eastern range and Ghurakati range of KNP are still under maintence and will be closed for the visitors for the time being, Saikia said.
