Kaziranga University announces scholarship, waives tuition fees

JORHAT, MAY 3: In what may be termed as an achievement, the Assam Kaziranga University has announced Kaziranga University (KU) Scholarships for the toppers of the continuing batch (2012-13 Batch) in all schools of the University, waiving 30 to 50 percent of the current year tuition fee of the toppers, stated a press release.

It may be mentioned that the University has been announcing different scholarships to encourage and support meritorious students in their studies at this institution since its inception.

The Exam Conduction Board of the University has reviewed the annual performance of the students recently and recommended a good number of students in different branches under all the schools of the University for the Scholarships.

This Scholarship has been awarded to the toppers of each branch of all the schools and the awards were given away by the Chancellor of the university, Mr M.D. Khetan at a brief function organized in the University on Wednesday. The award function was attended by KU Vice-Chancellor, Dr V. M. Salokhe, Dr P.K. Mishra, President North Eastern Knowledge Foundation (NEKF—the Promoters of the University), Dr. D. Panda, Registrar of the University; and Deans of all the Schools.

Established in 2012 at Jorhat in Upper Assam, the Kaziranga University is one of the best emerging Universities of the North-Eastern region, which aims to distinguish itself as a diverse and socially responsible learning community, dedicated to holistic education and work towards the pursuit of excellence by developing quality individuals, professiols and citizens.
