AAP had decided in its tiol council meeting on March 28 to hold a march and “gherao” (lay siege to) parliament against the bill, which critics say is meant to stch land from poor farmers for industrialists. The party has already formed a six-member committee comprising party leaders Ilyas Azmi, Prem Singh Pahari, Yogesh Dahiya, Somendra Dhaka, Gurm Singh and Kiran Vissa to execute parliament’s ‘gherao’. “The members of the committee are working out the details of the rally which will start at 10 a.m. on April 22 at Jantar Mantar,” Singh added.
