Kochi, Oct 30: Kerala Blasters FC caretaker coach Trevor Morgan believes his team is only one win away from getting back on track as they battle Cheniyin FC in an Indian Super League (ISL) clash at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.

Kerala Blasters have lost four matches in a row and parted ways with head coach Peter Taylor after their 2-3 loss to FC Pune City. Morgan has now been med caretaker coach and the man, who has been assistant to David James and Taylor, is keen to start a turround at the earliest.

"There will be something different tomorrow but what that is I cannot say at the moment. All I can say is that we need to win the game and to win, we got to do well going forward. We will field a team that will give us a lot of options going forward, and at the same time, also make sure we do not concede goals," Morgan said.

Morgan said Kerala Blasters have not been outplayed in any of the four matches which they lost and were unlucky to lose by rrow solitary goal margins.

"Last year, we were making mistakes but not getting punished. This season, every mistake you make, you get punished. In football, you are one result away from finding form. I cannot say there is lack of self-belief in the team because we are trying everyday. We just need that one win to set you off," said Morgan.

Cheniyin have not had the best of starts and are now placed fifth with nine points from six matches. But some of their electric performances have led many to believe they are the most dangerous side.

They now meet southern rivals and Cheniyin assistant coach Vivek gul knows the hosts will be difficult opponents despite their bottom rank on the league table.

"They are a good football team and we are ready for the match. They have a strong side and have strong support and we look at this game like any other. It's an away game and we expect tough competition," said gul.

Cheniyin have been reliant on Colombian striker Stiven Mendoza and Brazilian marquee player Elano Blumer to get them the goals, although gul gave a different assessment.

"We have trust in all our players. Others will also start scoring. If Elano and Mendoza are scoring, it's good for us but we are not entirely dependent on them. We have other good players and have full trust in them," he said. IANS
