Khandu bats for creating self-sustaible activities for youth

ITAGAR, Aug 24: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday emphasized on creating more self-sustaible activities for the unemployed youth of the state.

Such self-sustaible activities will provide as an altertive employment to the growing unemployed youths in the state, Khandu said during a meeting with general mager BARD S Sankararayan here, an official report said here today.

While lauding the assistance of BARD in funding various rural infrastructure development projects under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) in the state, the chief minister asked the BARD general mager to increase their outreach and to establish more offices in the districts.

He asserted that people were uware of many beneficial schemes provided by BARD for the rural masses.  Khandu asked the official to create awareness among the rural people about the spectrum of activities under agriculture and allied sectors like animal husbandry and rural development offered by BARD.  The chief minister further stated though in the past rural connectivity domited the sanctions; the state would prioritize and submit projects in agriculture, rural development and social sector during the current year. The general mager, who was accompanied by Binod Kumar, deputy general mager and Kamal Roy and assistant mager apprised the chief minister about the projects BARD has sanctioned in the state, the report added.
