Kidpped IB official disclosed his identity to rebels before being killed'

SHILLONG, Oct 27: The slain Junior Central Intelligence Officer Bikash Singh disclosed his official identity to the militants immediately after he was abducted. A well placed police official exclusively told The Sentinel that the abductors (ASAK members under Reading Sangma) were baffled on how to deal with the IB official when the chance of getting a ransom was bleak.  

This information was based on the numerous trackings of the suspected abductors who were rrowed down before the channel was eventually picked up .The eventual man led to the place where Bikash Singh was buried in a sitting position in a village closed to Baghmara, South West Garo Hills district.

Going by the information provided by the source, Bikash Singh is learnt to have disclosed his identity with a caution that he is a central government official who will not shred from his official duty.

Nothing definite is known on when the IB officer and the other merchant were killed. The two bodies were found in a decomposed state before being handed over to the families on Monday.  State Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Mehta termed his death as unfortute, even as he added that that the kidppers involved in the gruesome crime has been rrowed down.

“We have surrounded them and it is only a matter of time that we will close this bunch of crimils”, stated Mehta even as he reiterated that this bunches of crimils are indulging in kidpping for ransom.  

The Police have drawn flak for failing to rescue the abducted IB official and the merchant whose body were found under gruesome circumstances. Nearly 1000 police force were pressed into operations in the rescue operations along the Panda reserve forest.

As reported by The Sentinel, the police reiterated that ASAK is involved in the execution of the two abducted people. “Reading Sangma, the erstwhile Fince Secretary of the GNLA, known for his abduction for ransom, is the man behind the killing,” stated a top police official involved in the rescue operation.
