Kidpped school student rescued

Tezpur, May 6: A class XII standard student of Jorhat based Assam Rifles Public School who was kidpped from Tezpur Mission Chariali on May 4 last by a gang of unidentified miscreants was rescued on Thursday evening from a remote rural hill area by the villagers of Aruchal Pradesh near Bandardewa and later handed over to the Bandardwa Police. Police handed over the rescued student to the family members in the evening. According police, the student was on way to Biswath Chariali for visiting his relative’s house by a bus. He got off the bus at Tezpur Mission Chariali for boarding another bus for Biswath Chariali, while the four members armed miscreant traveling by a TATA SUMO forcefully dragged him into their vehicle and fled from the spot. Meanwhile the victim boy stated that in the midst he was made senseless and he got his sense back he found himself lying in a jungle and maged to flee from the spot. Later he reached a hamlet located in a hill of Aruchal Pradesh where the locals took care of him and handed over to the Bandardewa Police. “The kidppers camouflaged in black attire were talking in Urdu which was not intelligible for me and they showed me fire arms and kept me mum.” The boy said.
