Kidpping bid fails, kidppers bbed

DEMOW, December 17: On Thursday morning in Demow Desang Rajabari, two boys of Guwahati allegedly tried to kidp a school girl.

The local people caught them red-handed and handed them over to Demow Police. The two boys have been identified as Bikash Gogoi and Kumud Gogoi and according to sources, though both hail from gaon, they stay in Guwahati.

On Thursday morning at around 8 am, a Class X student was going to her school when at Rajabari Tili, the two boys came in a Swift Dzire car (AS 01 GC 2953) and tried to kidp the girl. Few people who saw the incident very tactfully caught up with thethe kidppers’ car at Thowra Japihajiya gaon and handed the boys over to police.

Ramjan Ali, of Dadhara gaon, had lodged an FIR in Demow Police Station regarding the kidpping of the girl.  Both boys were produced before the Sivasagar court and later sent to jail. They boys, however, claimed that they were innocent.
