Killed by default : Strange incident shocks Pasighat

PASIGHAT: A strange incident was reported this morning where one Dana Yirang (32 years) killed one Geyang Yirang (28 years) while trying to kill another woman and later killed herself too at Agam Colony here. As per police report, Dana Yirang from Damro village under Upper Siang District came searching for one Osiri Yirang at Agam Colony, Pasighat with the intention to kill her. On getting the information, Osiri Yirang hid inside the house, while Geyang Yirang who was weaving ‘Gale’ in the varanda ran inside when Dana turned the anger upon Geyang and shot her. The police further informed that after killing Geyang, Dana Yirang killed himself. As per sources the killing was triggered by love affair and parental/family disapproval of the relationship. A case has been registered at Pasighat PS.
