HAMREN, Feb 11: The Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF) observed seven years of completion of the Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Central and State governments, on Saturday at Taralangso desigted camp. KLNLF had come out and joint the mainstream on February 11, 2010 with an agreement of SoO with both the Central Government and State Government. After joining the mainstream, the organization held several rounds of tripartite talks with the government on the demand of separate state to the twin hills district of Assam. “Since seven long years we held talks with the government in a peaceful way but these did not give a fruitful solution. Both the Centre and the State Government have neglected the issue of separate statehood for the two hill districts. We therefore, appeal to both the Central and State governments to immediately taken into account the separate state issue. If the government delays, the situation will worsen,” said KLNLF leaders.
