The supporters who came from various parts of the State to Dibrugarh anticipating the release of their leader on Saturday, were left disappointment upon knowing that Gogoi had been taken to Goalpara on charges of tampering with the me of a school med after Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Advisor of KMSS, Losan Shyam Gohain, told The Sentinel that the activists were ill-treated by the police force, causing severe bleeding to one of them. He, on behalf of KMSS, demanded appropriate treatment for the victim, and also asked the government to acquit Gogoi of all the false charges imposed on him.
