KMSS protests against NHPC

LAKHIMPUR, October 14: The regiol committee of Lakhimpur Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti staged a protest on Wednesday against ongoing construction process of the tiol Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) at Gerukamuk. Hundreds of KMSS members joined the protest and a rally was organized which started from the North Lakhimpur Atem field to the office of the Deputy Commissioner. The activists shouted various slogans against the construction of  big dams and demanded the government to stop the construction process by NHPC.
