KMSS wants justice for Sandeep Bora, Bidyut Saikia

Lakhimpur, July 20: Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) staged a protest demanding justice for Sandeep Bora and Bidyut Saikia, members of KMSS who went to Guwahati for a protest against the sale of 12 oil fields. Sandeep Bora was allegedly murdered and Bidyut Saikia was arrested without valid reasons.

“The team of KMSS members was attacked by a gang of aggressors in the monimuwa Inter City and they murdered Sandeep Bora. Bidyut Saikia who reported to the police was arrested without any valid reasons. We want the government to investigate the murder of Sandeep Bora and release Bidyut Saikia who is in custody in Golaghat district,” Pradeep Gogoi, president of Lakhimpur committee of KMSS stated in a press release on Wednesday.

“We are protesting for the well being of Assam and many people like us have to die because we raise our voice against the wrong doings in our society. We want justice for Sandeep Bora and Bidyut Saikia and as well as our safety. We demand an investigation against the group of attackers,” a KMSS supporter said.
