SHILLONG, Dec 30: The cricket and football knock out tourment comprising of 32 teams from both the discipline organized by local MLA of South Shillong constituency Sanbor Shullai concluded today.
In football the fil was played between Victoria FC and Paltan Bazar SS&CC in which Victoria FC bagged the trophy by winning the fil game 2-0 and in cricket Paltan Bazar SS&CC became victorious while Play win-Laban were runners-up.
Shullai later distributed the trophy to the winners and runners-ups of both cricket and football and the winners also received a check of Rs. 50, 000 and the runners-up a check of Rs. 25, 000.
Earlier, addressing the gathering Shullai expressed his sincere thanks to all the members of the organizing committee for working extremely hard to make the tourment a grand success.
The tourment was participated by various teams from different localities from South Shillong constituency.
It may be mentioned that tourment was being held at the first ever standard play ground within Greater Laban Area (Madan Laban Outdoor Stadium) which was iugurated on December 15 at Madan Laban by local MLA-MDC Sanbor Shullai.
