Kohli's statement on Aadhaar opposed

 From A Correspondent

Tura, Nov 27: A conglomeration of NGOs, church leaders, senior citizens and pastors on Monday objected to BJP tiol spokesperson lin Kohli’s statement that Aadhaar would get rid of ghost beneficiaries.
“We object to Kohli’s non sensible statement belittling us to be a group of students and social organisations that our protest according to him was illogical,” said the conglomerate in a press release issued here on Monday.
Quoting Kohli, the conglomerate said if Aadhaar was the tool for getting rid of ghost beneficiaries and duplicity in PAN numbers for avoiding taxes, then why on earth everything is being merged to one Aadhaar number.
“If UIDAI is everything as the sole authority for every function of all the tiol and state departments, then what’s the meaning of existence and retaining of departments like telecom, transport, land revenue, income tax and many others,” they said.
The conglomerate expressed strong dissatisfaction on Aadhaar being forced on the people, when it was meant for social welfare schemes.
“The Aadhaar in real sense is being introduced for the sole purpose of surveillance of the innocent citizens taking everyone to be a crimil, impostor who earns his daily bread by impersoting somebody from the lists of intended beneficiaries,” they reasoned.
