KVK, lbari receives Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra Award

lbari, August 10: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, lbari affiliated to Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, received the Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra Award 2014 (Zone III), conferred by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi recently. The award was received by Dr Mridul Deka, Programme Coorditor, KVK, lbari from Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh during the tiol conference of KVKs held at Pat, graced by the Prime Minister of India along with other ministers, Governor and Chief Minister of Bihar and Director General of ICAR, New Delhi. The award comprised acitation and a cheque of Rs 4 lakh. This award is recognition to the commendable job accomplished by KVK, lbari in the area of percolating tested agricultural technologies, testimony of which is the increase in the production and productivity, livelihood generation programmes, liaison with line departments and emergence of young entrepreneurs pursuing technology-led agriculture in the district.
