Labour Commissioner's effigy burnt

DEMOW, April 17: The All Assam Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) today burnt the effigy of State Labour Commissioner J B Ekka and Assam Chief Secretary Jitesh Ghusala on  tiol Highway 37 at Rajmai here for not increasing the wages of the tea garden laborers of the State  upto Rs.169.  The Protesters had also shouted various slogans and said if their wages would not been increased, they would launch massive protests.
