Labourer dies of electrocution at Joysagar, Assam

JOYSAGAR, July 17: Khagen Bauri (43), a daily wage labourer of Mathurapur Tengapukhuri of Sivasagar, died on Monday as he came in touch with a high tension electric wire while working in a paddy field. The electric wire had fallen near the field after Sunday night’s storm and the labourer came in touch with the wire while clearing the grass in the field. Mathurapur Police recovered his body and sent it for postmortem.
