Lack of ground: GSA to organize Super league in one leg

GUWAHATI, May 1: The rubbish decision of the State Sports Department to reduce the number of ground at the Nehru stadium started to take the toll as RG Baruah Super Division Soccer League is all set to return to the one leg format from this season because of lack of ground. Gauhati Sports Association has taken this decision in its working General Meeting which was held at the AOA Conference hall yesterday. Talking to The Sentinel, life member of the Gauhati Sports Association and former General Secretary Ibocha Singh admitted that the number of matches in the Super Division Soccer league will be reduce this year because of lack of ground. “Earlier we had two grounds and there was no problem to organize the Super Division League in two legs. But it was not possible this time and so it was decided to organize the super Division league in one leg,” said Singh.
