Lakhimpur DC assures to accelerate development of the district

LAKHIMPUR, March 17: Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jeevan B, who recently took charge of the district, met the media persons on Saturday at the conference hall of his office.
 He cordially interacted with them regarding the burning problems of the district. President-in-charge of North Lakhimpur Press Club, Sailen Baruah, secretary Kumud Baruah and others.
Drew the attention of the DC towards several problems of the district. The DC was urged to initiate steps to shape the North Lakhimpur town with special plan, to make use of the wastelands of the district, to vitalize the DTO office, to appoint necessary doctors under Lakhimpur DHS, to mage the flood and erosion problems effectively, to rehabilitate the flood and erosion victims living on the embankments as soon as possible, to control the arrogant behaviour of NEEPCO authority regarding the activities of Rangadi Hydro Electric Plant located at Yazali in Aruchal Pradesh and to solve other burning problems of the district.
The DC affirmed his initiatives to accelerate the development of the district. “I have planned to ensure the community involvement in the developmental activities of the district. Similarly, I have stepped forward to enhance the departmental co-ordition to ascertain the effective implementation of the developmental schemes,” he stated in front of the jourlists.
“In addition to this, I have categorized the district departments in four groups as infrastructure base departments, social sector base departments, development base departments and regulator base departments. Four ADCs will separately review and monitor the activities of the departments included in the respective group. It will certainly help to run the district administration  for the betterment of the common people without any kind of unexpected delay,” the DC added. He also shared some other strategies to be executed for the greater interest of the poorer section of the society by uplifting the agro base economy of the district.
