Lakhimpur District administration holds meet on Comprehensive Infrastructural Development Fund schemes

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Administration organized a crucial meet on Monday in order to hold a discussion on the proposed implementation of a fund amounting to Rs 100 crore granted to the district under Comprehensive Infrastructural Development Fund (CIDF), 2018-19.

In the meet, which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jeevan B, discussions with detailed explanations were held on 21 schemes taken under the fund. Participating in the event, Lakhimpur HPC MP Pradan Baruah, Lakhimpur LAC MLA Utpal Dutta, Lakhimpur Sachetan Nagarik Mancha working president Naren Sarmah, members Dr. Abhedra Krishna Burhagohain, Jagdish Bajaj, Kulanth Bhorali, former journalist Harnul Rashid, Lakhimpur Chambers of Commerce president Uday Sankar Hazarika rendered their discussions on the proposed schemes.

Notably, some schemes, such as construction of multipurpose hall in any other venue of town instead of North Lakhimpur Tyag Kshetra, establishment of a standard park on the outskirts of North Lakhimpur town, construction of ISBT, upgrade of the public ponds located within the town, development of traffic system, electrification of the crematory grounds in the town, disposal of garbages were taken up under the scheme. The ADCs of the district, departmental heads were also present in the meet.
