Lakhimpur lift Nuruddin title

GUWAHATI, Feb 16: Lakhimpur bagged the Nuruddin Inter District (plate group) cricket title defeating Hailakandi by 51 runs in the fil at the Barsapara ground here today. Chasing 266 runs to win, Hailakandi bowled out 214 runs in the second innings.Krish Das (35) was the top scorer while Anuj Sutradhar remained not out on 31, Raju Pegu, Jayanta Doley and Rudra Pradhan bagged two wickets each.Jitumoni Kalita of winning team adjudged man of the match while his teammate Rudra Pradhan collected the best batsman award of the fil. On the other hand L Kishan Singha of Hailakandi med best bowler of the fil.
