Lakhimpur records 80 plus per cent in HS exams

LAKHIMPUR; June 1: Lakhimpur district has recorded notable pass percentages in every stream of the Higher Secondary final exam this year too, upholding the glory of the past years. 85.42 per cent of the students of the district cleared the exam in Arts stream while 86.96 per cent passed in the Science stream. The pass percentage of the district in Commerce stream is 83.09. A total of 9513 students of the district appeared in the exam in Arts stream out of which 1048 students secured first division, 2751 second division and 4327 third division.

On the other hand, out of 2032 students in the Science stream, 726 cleared the exam securing the first division, 903 in second division and 138 in third division. Similarly, out of 485 students in Commerce stream, 36 bagged first division, 114 second division and 253 third division. North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), has recorded pass percentage of 92.2 in Arts stream and 85 per cent in the Science stream.

In the Arts stream, 126 students of the college secured first division, 40 second division and 7 third division. 121 students of the Science stream secured first division while 27 passed in second division and 2 in third division. On the other hand, 126 students of Lakhimpur Girls’ College, out of 147, passed the exam in Arts stream and 51 out of 67 in the Science stream.

Recording a pass percentage of 86.71, 31 students of the college got first division, 62 second division and 33 third division in the Arts stream. 62 students secured letter marks in various subjects. Similarly, 7 students of the Science stream secured first division, 35 second division and 9 third division with a pass percentage of 76.1. From Genius Academy, out of 166 students, 115 secured first division, 44 second division and 7 third division in Arts stream while 119 out of 194 students in Science stream passed the exam in the first division, 68 in second division and 7 in third division.
