Lakhipur PS gets new office in-charge

Silchar, Nov 24: Anwar Hussain Choudhury who was an SI, has been transferred to and promoted as the new office in-charge of Lakhipur PS recently. He has served with agility, efficiency and activeness at Nilambazaar, Badarpur, Dholai, Kalain and other police stations. He has been replaced by OC Kirod Baishya as circle inspector at Soi. Anwar Hussain Chodhury has assured that he would fight against corruption, and take action against gambling.

He has urged upon the people as well as the district administration to help him in eradicating evils from the surface of the earth. He also conducted a small meeting with all the leading citizens, members of VDP and police personnel. A small farewell party was also held after the meeting. It was attended by SDPO Gaurav Kumar Agarwal, Advocate and senior BJP leader Sanjay Thakur, Thoiba Singh and Hazi Ali.
