Silchar, April 16: The condition of the building of SDO (Civil) office and its adjacent departments and branches, the magistrate branch, Nazir branch, election branch, general branch, food and civil supply branch and Peskar office are crying for attention. The fragile and frail buildings, very bad in shape, need urgent attention of the authorities concerned. Windows and doors of the buildings are broken and rooftops are leaking. Officials, employees, staff and workers are still working without showing any sign of hesitancy and complain. A cyclone at any moment will demolish the constructions. In this regard, residents of Lakhipur have urged upon the Chief Minister of Assam, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, SDO (Civil), Lakhipur and the local MLA to take necessary steps.
