Last Smile for Team India with Victory by 3 Wickets over Bangladesh

‘A match with the last ball finish’- that is how the last One Day International match between India and Bangladesh can be termed as. The Asia Cup 2018 held in Dubai on Friday made team India made the last smile but that was not that easy and predictive as one can imagine. With a three wickets victory over Bangladesh, winning this match was like making an impossible thing possible for team India as its opponents were also not ready to let the match go off their hands.

The final victory came only when a limping Kedar Jadhav somehow succeeds in taking that last run in the last ball of the match and ensured his team’s victory. Before this Bangladesh set a target of 223 for India to chase with its Liton Das scoring his maiden ODI century. In reply, the India middle order batsmen survived the Bangladeshi bowlers’ attack to finally meet the target in 50 overs.

Starting with an impressive run rate of 120 for no loss and then all out at just 222, the Bangladeshi batsmen had to give up to the bowling attack of Indian bowlers Kedar Jadhav and Kuldeep Yadav who took 2/41 and 3/45 wickets, respectively.

With this win, India snatches its 7th Asia Cup title on Friday.
