Laxman clinches tiol Blitz Chess Championship

<p>Kolkata, Aug 4 : Indian Grandmaster R.R. Laxman clinched the tiol Blitz Chess Championship title with a 10 out of 11 scorecard here on Friday.<br />

Both Laxman and intertiol Master P. Karthikeyan were vying for the championship crown and both of them won the last round.<br />

But, Laxman claimed the top spot as he was 0.5 points ahead of Karthikeyan.<br />

Being the top seed of the event he was beaten by a lower seeded player in the initial rounds but held his nerves and emerged champion after winning against experts of Blitz format. IANS</p>
