LBSJF seeks cancellation of tourism project

ITANAGAR, June 22: Legong Bango Social Justice Forum (LBSJF) in a representation to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh has sought for immediate cancellation of work carried out at Mary Land Lake under NEC at Oyan of East Siang district on Friday. The forum stated that there is no such lake named Mary land and the land is under the reserve area of Forest department. There was no Land Permit Certificate (LPC) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) obtained from the Forest department. It has objected to the approval and expenditure of the amount Rs 20.80 lakhs as the first installment of the total cost of Rs 5.20 crore for the construction of tourist lodge and rejuvenation of Mary Land Lake by the district administration.
