Jorhat, April 22: Noted Assamese poet of the modern era and parliamentarian Hem Barua was remembered by the district unit of Axam Xahitya Xabha on Wednesday here at the Dr bin Chandra Bordoloi Memorial Hall. In a lecture, noted writer Hemanta Bordoloi rrated about his persol experience of discussing various social and political topics with Hem Barua. rrating various features of Barua’s poems, Dr Jyotirekha Hazarika said that it was rare to find Barua’s beautiful poetic features of modern poetry in other poets. Dr Kutubuddin Ahmed, Pratap Barua, Dr Cheniram Dutta, litterateur Ismile Hussain , Samiran Bordoloi and many other dignitaries were also present in the meeting.
