Legong Banggo Students Union launches ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’: Arunachal Pradesh

PASIGHAT: Alarmed at the poor performance of the of the students of the region in examinations, the Legong Banggo Students Union (LBSU) started an awareness programme titled ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ in Ruksin sub-division to spread awareness among the student community in particular and the parents and teachers in general on Friday here. LBSU general secretary David Siram Nino told that the union will be discussing on the issue of dropouts, drawbacks and the necessary requirement within school premises.

LBSU has decided to launch the School Chalo Abhiyan campaign in the wake of the poor performance of students of the region. According to LBSU, in Ruksin Block there are 49 schools and out of those a few schools are defunct. “How many schools are running or defunct in the region will be known later,” LBSU general secretary David Siram Nino said.
