Leipzig drop points at Augsburg

Berlin, March 4: German football club RB Leipzig were held 2-2 by FC Augsburg in a hard fought Bundesliga clash here. Leipzig — the runners-up last season — tried to stage a comeback after conceeding first, but were uble to protect their 2-1 lead as Augsburg’s Martin Hinteregger secured the draw at their home ground here on Friday evening, reports Xinhua news agency. Leipzig remain at the second place of the German top division standings with 49 points from 23 matches while Augsburg climbed to the 12th position with 28 points. IANS
