Libang attends Sarkar Apke Dwar at Tuting: Arunachal Pradesh

YINGKIONG: Minister for Health and Family Welfare, RD and Panchayat Alo Libang participated in the Sarkar Apke Dwar (Government at Your Doorstep) programme held at Tuting ADC sub-division on Sunday.

While inaugurating Sarkar Apke Dwar (SAD), Libang reiterated that the government is committed to bringing its services to the doorsteps of the people.

He also asked the government departments to extend all help and cooperation to the people of the constituency so that they can avail of all the citizen-centric services. A free medical camp and an awareness drive on EVMs and VVPATs were also incorporated in a day-long programme in the presence of a massive public gathering.

The free medical camp was organized by the Department of Health Upper Siang District wherein free treatment and checkup and free medicines were also distributed. Awareness on EVM & VVPAT was imparted to the people by the Nodal Officer SVEEP and EVM & VVPAT Obang Mibang ARCS on behalf of DEO, Upper Siang district.

Various government documents related to ST, PRC, Birth and Deaths certificates were duly processed and issued to the beneficiaries by the District Administration department. Under the Transport department, 288 new driving licenses were issued.

Under the ‘PM Ujawal Yojana’, 35 women beneficiaries were provided free LPG connections. Many people were enrolled in Aadhaar. The recently launched ‘Comprehensive Universal Health Insurance Scheme’ (CMA) drew a huge number of beneficiaries where a record number of forms numbering around 632 were distributed to the beneficiaries.

The Department of Power and PHED besides imparting awareness on various scheme facilitated the consumers to make spot bill payments as a part of the revenue drive wherein an amount of Rs.75,334 was realized. The departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Environment, and Forest also provided information on various schemes under their respective departments and distributed free saplings (Campa), seeds, pesticide, weedicide, rodenticides etc.

Altogether 24 government departments under the Upper Siang district participated in the SAD programme at Tuting. While appreciating the efforts of the government department, Deputy Commissioner Duly Kamduk also urged the officials to submit detailed reports of services and beneficiaries within the stipulated time to be forwarded to the State government.
